NASDA-NASS Cooperative Program
NASDA-NASS Cooperative ProgramSince 1978, NASDA and the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) have continuously operated a cooperative program for agricultural data collection in 49 states. The program's objective is to serve the United States, its agricultural producers, and rural communities by providing meaningful, accurate and objective statistical information and services. Under the cooperative agreement, NASDA employs over 3,500 part-time statistical enumerators who collect and supply to NASS statistical data from both on-farm and telephone surveys with farm and ranch operators. For the 2005-06 fiscal year, the total budget for NASDA's share of the program was $28 million. Four members of NASDA's Washington staff spend significant time working various aspects of the NASS program.

NASDA - FAS Program
NASDA - FAS Program Since 1983 NASDA and the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of USDA have partnered to promote the export of U.S. agricultural products and reports on agricultural production and market development all over the world. Both NASDA and FAS work closely with the World Trade Center Miami to jointly promote the USA Pavilion at the Americas Food & Beverage Show in Miami, as well as NASDA’s American Food Fair pavilion at the National Restaurant Hotel–Motel show in Chicago, and NASDA’s US Food Showcase pavilion at the Food Marketing Institute’s show in Chicago. FAS considers NASDA’s trade show program to be a valuable tool in promoting U.S. products abroad.
